Meet The Team

Zoe

Zoe is Trauma Recovery's Senior Therapist. She works with clients directly, liaises with outside professionals and manages the therapy team.

Zoe is a qualified, experienced Counsellor and a Registered member of the BACP.

Zoe has a wealth of experience working with children, young people, families and adults. 

Zoe is a qualified IDVA and has experience working therapeutically with addiction, domestic abuse and sexual violence. 

Zoe works with clients in a collaborative way with a focus on understanding the individual person and their circumstances. 

Zoes loves being in nature and soaking in the elements with or without her dog.

Anna

Anna is Trauma Recovery's addiction lead. 

Anna is a trained Gestalt therapist and a registered member of both the BACP and NCS.

Anna has worked at Watford Women's centre prior to working with Trauma Recovery and has experience of working with adults of all genders who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence and addiction. 

Anna works with clients to understand the impact of their traumatic experiences and to support them to feel as though they can begin to feel in control of their future. 

In Anna's spare time she enjoys baking and taking her border terrier for countryside walks and hiking in Cornwall soaking up the British sunshine.

Beccy Young Person's Therapist

Beccy

Beccy has 2 roles within Trauma Recovery.

She works as a young person's Therapist and she supports our student volunteer team providing clinical supervision and mentoring.

Beccy is integratively trained and is a registered member of the BACP.

Beccy has experience of working with young people and adults around loss, bereavement, domestic abuse and sexual trauma. 

As a young person herself Beccy danced with the English National Youth Ballet and as an adult she completed a solo journey around Europe and New Zealand. 

Beccy see's clients face to face in Welwyn Garden City and online. 

Cristina adult therapist

Cristina

Cristina is one of Trauma Recovery's adult counsellors. She is integratively trained and speaks both English and Romanian. 

Before she trained as a Counsellor, Cristina worked as a teacher and so she has experience of the needs of young people. She also has an understanding of neurodivergence. 

Cristina works with each client as a unique individual offering them a safe space to work towards feeling emotionally safer and more secure in themselves.

Nicola

Nicola is Trauma Recovery's children's therapist. 

Nicola is integratively trained specifically to work with children and young people. She is a registered member of the BACP. 

Nicola works creatively with children to help them to feel safer and more secure following sexual abuse and assault. 

Nicola has worked in both the UK and South Africa with clients in schools, a prison and with a homeless organisation supporting street children in South Africa. 

Nicola lived in South Africa for 6 years. She has 2 cats and a dog and loves going to the beach

Nicola Children's therapist

Danielle

Danielle is an adult Counsellor.

 

She is integratively trained and spent time working within an addiction support service before joining Trauma Recovery.

Danielle works face to face and online.

Danielle has a wealth of experience of providing both individual and group support for people healing from trauma.

Ella adult therapist

Ella

Ella works with adults both online and face to face in Hemel Hempsted and Watham Cross.

Ella has experience of working with both adults and families through her work with the charity Homestart.

 

She works with individuals who have experienced domestic abuse and sexual assault.

Neelam

Neelam joined our team in 2021.

 

She has a varied role that includes being the point of contact for all self-funded clients, facilitating groups, supporting the long term therapy team and developing new projects. 

Neelam has experience of supporting individuals who have experienced trauma, abuse and assault. Before joining Trauma recovery she manged Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline.

Becci

Becci is our operations assistant.

 

She supports Sandra and the team with all things administrative including our social media, funding applications and policies and processes.

Our Associate team

To ensure that we are able to offer flexible options to clients we work with a team of associate Therapists and Counsellors. 

Our associate team work alongside our core employed team and each has a specialist area. 

The team consists of therapists and counsellors all with experience of working with sexual trauma with specialist knowledge of addiction, domestic abuse, working with children and families and those who speak languages other than English.
